synopsis
SEBERG is the story of an ambitious and idealistic young FBI agent who, in the late 60s, spearheads the FBI’s illegal surveillance—and persecution—of the emotionally fragile actress and radical Jean Seberg.
A unique proposition—the biopic as thriller—it is a portrait of a small-town girl who found fame, became an icon, and whose radical beliefs brought her into conflict with the ultimate power in the land: Hoover’s FBI. Interweaving actual events and people with a fictional narrative, it tells a sweeping tale of romantic obsession, professional loyalty, and ideological crusade.
